Disco Balls

This is one of my son's favorite phrases right now. That's not why I'm writing this though. Have you ever been mesmerized by a disco ball? They're beautiful. Granted, that's my opinion, it's not everyone's. I love glitter, and they are basically a giant form of glitter. Bonus: they don't end up everywhere or stuck to your clothing. Lol.
Recently, I went to an on-stage play and they used a disco ball for part of it. My eyes were instantly drawn to it and entranced. I like to know how things work, so while the lights spun around the room adding to the scene, all I could do was examine the ball. I saw a huge spotlight pointed directly at it. But my heart swirled with emotion as God spoke to me about the disco ball. It's a million tiny mirrors, right? Those mirrors only reflect what's around them. The light was pointed at them. They simply reflected it all around the room.
We, as the body of Christ, are a disco ball, if you will. We reflect the glory of Christ to the world around us by being positioned in His light. Each mirror needs to be a clean enough surface to reflect. But we don't keep ourselves clean, we surrender to the power of the blood of Jesus to make us clean to reflect His light. And when we unite in our surrender, we create a beautiful reflecting ball that brings light to the world-His light.
So are you positioning yourself in the light? More importantly, are you washed in the blood to be clean enough to reflect His light?
