Don't "Tucker" Yourself Out

Writer: TammanyTammany

(A throwback to May 2020)

Do you find yourself worrying more? Maybe you were not much of a worrier before this pandemic. Maybe this is a new struggle for you. You find yourself overcome with thoughts of "what if."

Let me stop you right there.

Don’t. Don't worry.

The Bible says in Matthew 6:25-34 not to worry. God provides “clothes” for flowers and food for the sparrows. So you need to not worry that God won’t care for your needs.

Take it from our new “pet” mouse, we named Tucker. He found a place (outside our apartment) that provides him abundant food, shelter and warmth. He decided that it was a safe place, so he has since fallen asleep in peace. He was quite tuckered out, get it? ;)

Keep these things in mind. Matthew 6:27 says, “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” No, you can’t, so rest.

Take a tip from Tucker. If you have food, warmth, shelter and safety, you are well. Dwell on this, rest and fall asleep peacefully in the Father’s arms.

And pray for those who struggle to have these things, but especially pray for those who don’t know the safety of the Father’s arms or His provision.
